Minister
Nick Algeo is the minister of Christ Church Bracknell.
Nick became a Christian at university in Nottingham and ever since has loved the local church and has had a passion for telling people about Jesus.
After working at a bank for a bit, he studied theology at Wycliffe Hall in Oxford and since then has ministered in East London, the Gambia, and most recently, Leeds.
Nick is married to Harriet and they have three children. He loves spending time with friends and family, eating Gregg’s sausage rolls and occasionally embracing fitness fads.
About Christ Church Bracknell
At Christ Church Bracknell we seek to be a loving and welcoming church for all people, whether you’d call yourself a Christian or not, and whatever your Christian background. Our big desire is for all people to know how wonderful the Lord Jesus Christ is.
To understand a bit more about the distinctives of our church, expand the sections below:
-
We are an evangelical church. The good news of Christianity is that by Jesus’ death and resurrection absolutely anyone can be forgiven! We know this because God speaks today through his word (the Bible), as it is read and heard. We are therefore committed to having the Bible setting the agenda for all that we do at Christ Church Bracknell and we delight to receive Bible teaching and preaching as we gather.
For more on what it means to be evangelical, see the UCCF statement of belief: https://www.uccf.org.uk/about/doctrinal-basis

We are an Anglican church. We uphold the teaching of the 39 Articles of Religion, the Jerusalem Declaration, and the doctrine of the Book of Common Prayer. It’s a privilege to be part of the Anglican Mission of England (AMiE) and we really value the oversight we receive from the AMiE bishops. AMiE is in turn accountable to the global Anglican church (GAFCON).

We are a reformed church. We are delighted that we are part of something that is over 2,000 years old! In that time, the church has articulated the essentials of the faith in its early creeds (e.g. the Apostles’ Creed and the Nicene Creed), and fleshed these out in the protestant confessions (in particular, those written in the 16th and 17th centuries). We are glad to be part of that heritage and tradition.
Curious about Christianity?
We believe you’ll never regret taking time to learn about and consider the claims of Jesus Christ. If you’re interested in doing just that, we recommend the 321 course or Christianity Explored. We hope to run these courses in person in the future so get in touch if you’d like to be notified when they start.
